Firm partner Steve Sereboff has returned from a one month sabbatical embedded with the European IP law firm Bury & Bury. On Monday, June 30, 2025, Steve will share his experience at the firm’s regular SoCal IP Institute meeting.

During his time with Bury & Bury, Steve and the B&B team had a series of meetings to discuss and compare US and EU IP law. For an IP nerd, this was like eating ice cream — delicious! One of the joys of an IP law practice is the opportunity for career-long learning, and even older practitioners like Steve regularly find niches to explore. Learning new aspects of IP law benefits the clients. Steve is excited to share some things that he learned about EU patent practice, and some things about US trademark practice that he’d never considered.
