Please join us Monday, October 14, 2024, at noon, where we will discuss how a panel of judges for the Second Circuit ruled that purchasing a competitor’s trademark as a keyword, without also establishing a likelihood of confusion, does not necessarily amount to trademark infringement, in the 1-800 Contacts case that was newly decided this week on October 8, 2024. This Decision is the latest authority on a controversial issue that has been sporadically litigated with inconsistent findings among the Circuits and district courts for the last decade, at least.
Marina Lang, Partner at SoCal IP, will lead the discussion. This activity is eligible for 1 hour of MCLE credit. You may RSVP for this event by sending an email to elisham@socalip.com.
