Please join us Monday, September 14, 2026, at noon, as we discuss three topics in patent law.

First, we will discuss the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) precedential decision in Moskowitz Family LLC v. Globus Medical, Inc., affirming a district court’s grant of summary judgment of noninfringement, its construction of the claim term “universal,” and its denial of a motion for judgment as a matter of law (JMOL) of infringement.

Second, we will discuss the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit (CAFC) precedential decision in VDPP, LLC v. VOLKSWAGEN GROUP OF AMERICA, INC. linked to at 24-2226-2026-08-19, regarding what does a patent notice letter actually require and understanding ‘actual notice.’

Angelo Gaz, of counsel to SoCal IP, will lead the discussion.
