For our weekly SoCal IP Institute meeting on Monday, October 19, 2020 we will discuss the following cases:

Doc Antle v.Carole Baskin (WIPO 2014) (Case Here)

Defendant obtained a domain name allegedly owned by one of the “Tiger King’s” Businesses. Tiger King sued and tried to get the domain name using trademark law. WIPO sided with complainant.

U.S v. Google LLC (D.D.C. 2020) (Case Here)

We will also discuss the lawsuit and pleading filed by the United States against Google for antitrust violations.
